About us
Synaptic Four is a consulting and software development company in IT and bioinformatics. Our goal: to integrate people on the autism spectrum as part of the team and to make their potential visible in a supportive environment.
Who we are
Synaptic Four was founded to combine two things: strong expertise in IT and bioinformatics, and a workplace where people on the autism spectrum can contribute their strengths. We believe that these talents bring valuable perspectives and distinct skills to the tech industry when they work in a supportive environment.
We act as a living example of how productive and creative autistic professionals can be. In doing so we aim to reduce prejudice and show that diversity is a real business advantage. We are based in Stuttgart – a city with a strong culture of innovation and technical excellence, which gives us a solid foundation for growth.
The founders of Synaptic Four are themselves on the autism spectrum – this is not an initiative from the outside, but from lived experience.
What drives us
The tech industry struggles to find talented specialists, especially in bioinformatics. At the same time, many gifted people on the autism spectrum are held back because traditional hiring and workplace structures often don’t suit them.
We provide a platform where these talents are supported and their skills in software development and data analysis are put to use. The result is a productive environment that also benefits our clients: precise solutions, reliability, and a different perspective on complex problems.
Our values
Inclusion and expertise go hand in hand for us. We build on the strengths of people on the autism spectrum – for example in data analysis, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving – and create conditions in which they can thrive.
In the long term we want to work with developers in Ghana: high-quality, cost-effective IT solutions for clients in Europe and the US, and at the same time training and employment opportunities locally. That way we combine technical excellence with social responsibility.
How we use AI
Parts of this website and our products (e.g. texts, structure, drafts) are created with the help of AI tools. We remain fully responsible for the content: everything is reviewed, adapted, and developed by us. For us, AI is a tool – not a replacement for experience, care, and accountability.

We publish parts of our work under open or source-available licences – for transparency, traceability, and community. A dedicated page explains what we mean by classic open source (e.g. Apache-2.0) versus source-available models with restrictions (e.g. BUSL-1.1).
